Tracks Go Up: Cincinnati’s Giga Coaster Rolls to Fountain Square

Take a virtual ride on Orion, Cincinnati’s new giga coaster at Fountain Square on October 13th.

With the help of TRA Design, SHP, Kings Island, and 3CDC you’ll get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the construction of Orion, its significance, and what it’s like to build a roller coaster. This will be shown on Fountain Square’s Fifth Third LED board. Sit back, relax with your Happy Hour drink of choice, and learn about this new white-knuckled ride.

Orion recently joined Kings Island’s word-class line-up of roller coasters and is one of only 7 seven coasters in the world that has a height or drop of 300-399 feet, otherwise known as a giga coaster. Themed to the park’s new area 72, riders on Orion plummet down an exhilarating 300-foot first drop, sending them on a high-speed journey over seven more hills at speeds up to 91 mph. Orion is Kings Island’s tallest, fastest and longest steel roller coaster.

This is a family-friendly, socially distanced event. Please wear your mask (unless seated), and be sure to stay after to play Fountain Feud!

Happy Hour: 4-6pm
