Messages of Glory

Thomas R. Schiff is a fine art photographer, a collector of photography, an insurance executive, and a patron of the arts in Cincinnati, Ohio. A graduate of Ohio University, he studied photography with Clarence White, Jr. and Arnold Gasson.

His early photography featured black and white images focused on architectural detail, storefront facades and windows. In his journey to find a new way to express his artistic vision, Tom turned to panoramic images. Since 1994 he has worked with a Hulcherama 360° panoramic camera, traveling the United States in search of inspiring subjects. Today, his work resides in a number of permanent collections and historical societies. Mr. Schiff’s books include beautiful panoramic photographs that have been popular around the country.

  • Panoramic Parks: An Appreciation of Cincinnati’s Parks was published in 2005 with photographs by Thomas R. Schiff. The book features photos of Eden Park, Burnet Woods, Mount Airy Forest, Levi Ault, the Kessler Plan, Cincinnati Park Board property listing, and past and present Park Board Commissioners.

  • Vegas 360 photographed by Thomas R. Schiff captures 360 degrees of Las Vegas. “Photographer Thomas Schiff captures all that makes Vegas gauche in a single, circular shot. What makes his new Las Vegas Art Museum exhibit different is the camera. He focused his Hulcherama 360 degree panoramic and mounted it on a customized tripod that can telescope up to 20 feet.” -Becky Bosshart, Las Vegas Sun

  • Wright Panorama  photographed by Thomas R. Schiff amplifies the artistry of Frank Lloyd Wright’s architecture with expanse. In the more than 140 Tom Schiff panoramic photographs contained in Wright Panorama, Schiff reveals nearly eighty extant buildings in Wright’s oeuvre from a unique perspective. Wright Panorama exhibits the great architect’s prolific, varied, and iconic body of work, pulling from it a new shape and offering it renewed appeal.
